London based Chris Coode has released a substantial body of work under the name of Motion, from a split EP with Matmos on Fat Cat records, and one self released album which led to him being discovered and signed by Taylor Deupree's 12k label, where he has since released two albums 'Dust' and 'Every Action'. With Chris' Recon project, he retains his subtle and immediate control of the music, his trademark balance of controlled noise and texture, but allows through a whole other dirtier and nasty detail to the sound, akin to a broken techno feel of machines in mid-crisis.
