Pausal is made up of two good friends, Alex and Simon. Living nearby in rural Hampshire, they began a series of improvised recording sessions during the lazy summer of 2005.

These sessions resulted in their debut self-titled EP which was made available via Highpoint Lowlife in Summer 2007. It was well received, with tracks appearing in several netlabel mixes and online radio shows.

Since then, they have continued to collaborate as well as perform live - sharing bills with the likes of Koen Holtkamp, Stars of the Lid, Grouper, Greg Haines, Aidan Baker, Rameses III and others.

Their live shows are a complete immersive experience, utilizing large scale visuals created by Alex as well as putting on occasional outdoor shows in the beautiful English countryside.

The Pausal EP was recently remastered and reissued with additional material. Their debut full-length LP is due for a Winter 2009 release.
