Number two of our back catalog downloads – Izu‘s astoundingly out-of-time ‘Going Salamander‘!

Izu

Highpoint Lowlife hit a whole new level of sound with this album from Glaswegian outfit Izu. From the opening moments of the first track which cut through your ears and batter you with a searing chord sound right through to the very last distorted, twisted beat manipulation, you’re on a full-on rollercoaster ride.” Smallfish

Got so many good memory of listening to this everywhere from Barcelona to Glasgow to Berlin, its just so mean and nasty! I drop Ronnie the occasional email to catch up and see what he’s been up to, but for the moment, the music is on hold, as he’s too busy with life and work, which is a bugger when the music is this good!

Around the album, we also gave away a web EP which is also excellent, with one track not on the the album plus two remixes – one from TVO and one from Konx-Om-Pax.This post was actually prompted by an old mix i found online by Hudson Mohawke over at BTS radio where he included the Konx-Om-Pax remix. Grab that EP here and check out the Mohawke mix here.

Here’s the Konx-Om-Pax remix if you wanna have a listen first:
